Semi-Annual General Meeting

The communications and marketing director is the primary contact person for anything relating to general meetings. Get in touch with him to discuss petitions, special and ordinary resolutions, and any other related matters.
OVERVIEW
The meeting is taking place at 12:00pm on Thursday, September 26, 2023 via Zoom.If you would like to submit a petition to add an item to the meeting agenda, you must submit it in person to the CSU Library Lounge or by email to [email protected] at least 21 days before the general meeting at this it is to be considered. A paper petition template can be found here.

Explanation of the general meeting rules and procedures
A brief explanation of Robert’s Rules of Order, the procedures employed by the Capilano Students’ Union to conduct its meetings. -
Adoption of the agenda
The draft agenda for the general meeting will be considered for adoption. -
Presentation of audited financial statements
The previous fiscal year’s financial statements (audited by Tompkins Wozny Chartered Professional Accountants) will be presented. Auditors will also be appointed for the 2023-24 financial statements. -
Special resolutions and ordinary resolutions
The special resolutions and ordinary resolutions served with due notice will be presented to the membership for consideration. - Board of directors report and question & answer period
The semi-annual report will be presented and followed by an opportunity to pose questions to CSU elected leadership. -
